An Ras Mor 5K

When:  Sunday, March 13 @ 10:00 AM
Where:  Cambridge, MA (starts/finishes outside the Asgard on Mass. Ave.)
Distance:  5K

No shortage of Irish-themed races on March 13!  The An Ras Mor is a longstanding tradition organized by our friends and rivals at the Somerville Road Runners.  Additionally, this year's race is part of the New England Runner Pub Series, which means loads of: a) awards for top-finishers, age-group and overall; b) coverage in the print edition of New England Runner; and c) beer 4 U.  The course is flat and fast, a round-trip from Central to Harvard Square, hitting up this lil' place twice in the process.  So who's in for a 5K PR and a chance to have some fun with the running club whose collective rear end we will kick in both the SRR Club Challenge Marathon Relay and cornhole this summer?

Ras na hEireann 5K

Where: Davis Square, Somerville, MA
Distance: 5K
If anyone is looking for a fun, fast 5K to utilize those fast-twitch muscles before marathon season, the Ras na hEireann is filling up fast. How could you not want to run a race where people dress like leprechauns?

The Hyannis Half Marathon / Marathon / 10K

When: Sunday February 27 @ 10:00 am
Where: Hyannis, MA
Distance: half marathon, full marathon, 10k

The Hyannis half marathon, full marathon and 10k will be held 3 weeks from today. Unfortunately all three races are currently sold out, so if you haven't already registered - too bad! But I know a handful of us are registered, so we should have a solid group to represent CRC. Who's going to defend Chad's title?

Runner Seeks Charitable Runners

Good news! We just found out that Mass. Eye and Ear has received 3 additional numbers for this April's Boston Marathon.  Please let anyone you know that may be interested to contact me ASAP to join our team.  Each runner is required to raise a minimum of $5,000.
